President Whitten initiates searches to fill key leadership roles

IU is launching national searches for four key leadership positions.

With search committee leaders named, a dedicated website is available both to support the search efforts and to keep the IU community informed. Opportunities for input during the search process will also be available on the website. Limestone Indiana University seal at IU Bloomington on Monday, April 27, 2020. Credit: Indiana University

Open positions and respective hiring chairs:

  • Executive Vice President and Chancellor, IUPUI (Chair: Karen E. Bravo, Dean, IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law)
  • Executive Vice President and Provost, IU Bloomington (Chair: Fred H. Cate, Vice President for Research)
  • Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (Chair: Jay L. Hess, Dean, IU School of Medicine, and Executive Vice President for University Clinical Affairs)

As part of the comprehensive searches, each chair will be supported by a search committee, with listening sessions planned to gather input from a cross section of the IU community.
